Kingshot Town Center Push: When to Raise It and What to Keep Close

Last checked:

AQuick answer
Raise Town Center when it is the bottleneck on other buildings you actually need this week. Keep Storehouse and Infirmary within two or three levels of it, and do not leave Barracks, Stable, or Range three or more levels behind — those training buildings start lagging troop output before the Town Center itself feels slow.

TL;DR

Town Center gates almost every other building. Push it when you are blocked, not on a calendar. Keep Storehouse and Infirmary close. Watch troop-building lag. Use the building planner for the resource total before you dump speedups.

When a Town Center push is the right move

Town Center is the cap on almost every other building. If your Academy, War Academy, or troop buildings cannot go higher because Town Center is lower, you are paying a sequencing tax: every speedup you spend on a capped building is wasted calendar time.

The opposite mistake is just as common. Governors dump construction speedups into Town Center while Storehouse sits five levels behind, then lose a raid haul that was supposed to fund the next step. A push is only a push if the city can hold the resources and the hospital can hold the troops.

A practical order for one push

  1. Open the building planner with Town Center as the listed row and Include prerequisites on. Read the unmet gates first — especially Hero Hall, which we do not price.
  2. Check Storehouse and Infirmary. If they are already two or three levels behind, add those rows to the same plan before you spend.
  3. Glance at Barracks, Stable, and Range. If you train during this window, those buildings should not sit three-plus levels behind Town Center; the troop planner will warn on that lag if you type the levels in.
  4. Share the plan from the Progression hub if your alliance is coordinating construction speedups.

None of this is a greedy optimizer. The planner expands community-style requirement strings and lists missing gates. You still pick the week.

What we will not promise

We do not invent Hero Hall costs, and we do not forecast kingdom timeline dates. If your kingdom is not on Truegold yet, a Truegold target in the planner is a warning, not a recommendation to buy the next stage.

Use the Power Panel for the construction speed % you actually have. Named bonuses in the planner are community-cited add-ons — tick them only if they are not already in that field.

A Town Center push during KvK prep should still follow the prep checklist: Truegold buildings score on three days, so do not automatically dump every construction speedup on Day 1.

Frequently asked questions

Only when it is actually gating the next building or troop tier you need. A Town Center you cannot support with Storehouse and Infirmary loses resources to raids and loses troops that should have been wounded instead of dead.
