Kingshot KvK Preparation Week: How Scoring Actually Works

Last checked:

AQuick answer
KvK preparation runs across 5 themed days — City Construction, Basic Skills Up, Pet Training, Hero Development, and Power Boost — each scoring different actions. Truegold building upgrades and Intel Missions are consistently the highest point-per-action items, so save them for whichever day scores them rather than doing them early.

TL;DR

5 scored prep days, each with different high-value actions. Truegold building upgrades (2,000 pts) and Intel Missions (6,000 pts) appear on 3 of the 5 days — save them. Use the KvK Event Score Planner to map your week before spending anything.

What is KvK preparation week?

Before each Kingdom vs. Kingdom season's battle day, there's a 5-day preparation window where every scored action you take contributes points toward your kingdom's overall State Bonus heading into the fight. The five days are themed, and the same action can be worth very different amounts depending on which day you perform it.

The 5 prep days, in order

2Basic Skills UpHero Roulette spin (8,000 pts), Mythic shard ascension (3,040 pts)
3Pet TrainingHero Roulette spin (8,000 pts), Intel Mission (6,000 pts)
4Hero DevelopmentHero Exclusive Gear Widget (8,000 pts), Mithril used (40,000 pts)

See the full per-day action table with every scored item on the event calendar, or plug your planned activity straight into the KvK / Event Score Planner to see a day-by-day point breakdown before you commit resources.

The single biggest planning mistake

Spending Mithril, Forgehammers, or Widgets on day 1 or 2 out of habit, instead of holding them for day 4 or 5 where they're worth the most points, is the most common way governors leave points on the table during prep week. Mithril used alone is worth 40,000 points on both Day 4 and Day 5 — using a stockpile outside those two days is a straightforward waste of your prep-week score.

How to plan your week

  1. Inventory what you're sitting on — Mithril, Forgehammers, Widgets, Taming Marks, banked shards.
  2. Match each resource to the day where it scores highest (use the table above).
  3. Run your planned day-by-day activity through the KvK Event Score Planner to get a projected total and see where the gaps are.
  4. Save true "on demand" actions (Truegold upgrades, Intel Missions) for whichever remaining day needs the points most, since they appear across multiple days at the same value.

Printable order-of-operations lives in the KvK prep checklist. Pets belong on Day 3 if you were going to advance them anyway — see pet training for events.
