Academy vs War Academy Planner: Which Kingshot Research Tool to Open

Use the Academy planner for the city Academy tree (Assault Techniques, hospital, gathering). Use the War Academy planner for Truegold troop-stat research and dust. Advanced Truegold is a later post-Truegold tree with its own planner and a g: share prefix. Do not mix the three catalogs.

TL;DR

Academy = r: rows. War Academy = w: rows. Advanced Truegold = g: rows. Finish building gates in the building planner. One troop-type Truegold tree at a time.

Three research catalogs, three planners

This site does not have one “research calculator.” Mixing Academy slugs into the War Academy tool will not total correctly because the JSON catalogs are different.

A practical order

  1. If Town Center still caps Academy, that is a construction job — building planner and the Town Center push guide.
  2. Rank early Academy nodes with the F2P Academy research order. Finish unmatched Academy building gates before a ten-day combat branch.
  3. When War Academy is online, pick one troop type and follow the Truegold path.
  4. Alliance donations are a fourth catalog. Do not put Adaptive Tools in the Academy planner. See the Alliance Tech primer.

What the warnings mean

Gates, approximate rows, troop-building lag and documented gaps (Hero Hall, T6+) show in PlannerShell on every tool. They are transparency, not an optimize button. Confirm live times in-game. We will not invent a missing tree to make one planner do all four jobs.
